Cash App is a digital wallet for American consumers. Launched by Block, Inc. in 2013, it allows users to send, receive or save money, access a debit card, invest in stocks or bitcoin, apply for personal loans, and file taxes. As of 2024, Cash App reports 57 million users and $283 billion in annual inflows. Cash App was launched in 2013 as a person-to-person money transfer service and was called Square Cash. In 2015, the service expanded to support transactions involving businesses.
