It is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and is headquartered at Canada Square in Toronto, Ontario. The company participates in the voluntary Scanner Price Accuracy Code managed by the Retail Council of Canada. The flagship Canadian Tire brand includes general merchandise stores, gas stations, and financial services. Its iconic loyalty program began with paper coupons that resembled bankotes in 1958. The company also operates Mark's, FGL Sports, PartSource, and the Canadian operations of Party City. Canadian Tire acquired the Norwegian clothing and textile company Helly Hansen from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in 2018 and sold it in 2025.
