Ayman Kamel

Ayman Aly Kamel is an Egyptian diplomat, and the current Ambassador of Egypt to Slovakia. He was previously the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands, and served as Ambassador of Egypt to Japan from October 2017 to October 2021. He has also served as the First Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs in Egypt, and Consul-General in Sydney. Ambassador Kamel has over 38 years of experience as a career diplomat and public service official in various Egyptian missions abroad. Previously, he served as Head of the Consular mission in Jordan, where he had been looking after the interests of a community of more than 300 000 Egyptians. Prior to this assignment he was Consul and Deputy Chief of mission in several countries including Italy, Mexico, and the Sultanate of Oman. Read more
